The history of Chile forgotten by many, 42 years after...

The coup in Chile, on September 11th 1973, was a military action carried out by the Armed forces of Chile, conformed by the Army, the navy and the air Force, along with the Carabineros (Carabiniers) with the intention to overthrow the socialist President Dr. Salvador Allende Gossens and the left Government of the Unidad Popular (Popular Unity).

Salvador Allende took over the Presidency of Chile in 1970, he became the first western politician with a Marxist orientation who accessed to power through general elections in a Constitutional State. His government, with a strong reformist tendency was characterized for an increasing political polarization in society and a strong crisis which led into a social convulsion.

The possibility of executing a coup against the government of Salvador Allende existed even before his election. The government of the United States, led by President Richard Nixon and his Secretary of State henry Kissinger, influenced decisively in groups opposed to Allende, financing and actively supporting the realization of a coup. Among these actions were the murder of General Rene Schneider and the Tanquetazo, a military uprising on June 29th, 1973.  

In mid-1973, after the Tanquetazo, groups within the Chilean Navy planned to overthrow the government, to which later on, the high commanders of the Air Force and groups within Carabineros joined. Days before the scheduled date for the military action, Augusto Pinochet, the Chief Army Commander joined them. On the morning of September 11, the Military Leadership of the armed forces and police were able to quickly control most of the country and demanded the immediate resignation of Salvador Allende, who took refuge at the Palacio de la Moneda (the Moneda Palace). After the bombing of the presidential palace, Allende committed suicide and the resistance at the Palace was neutralized.   

The coup marked the end of the government of Unidad popular which was followed by the establishment of a Military Government led by Pinochet. Chile, which in that time was one of the steadiest democracies in Latin America, entered into a civilian-military dictatorship that lasted until 1990. During this period systematic violations of human rights were perpetrated , the liberty of expression was limited, the political parties were suppressed and the Nation Congress was dissolved.

On behalf of my country-men I want to let you know several things regarding your stupid comments about Mexican immigrants.

First of all, you should be grateful that Mexicans were there, because they do all the labor your lazy African-American people and of course your rednecks won’t do.    

2^nd.- There are millions of Mexicans that have migrated to the US for decades and that have become US citizens because they are grateful with your country and they are proud to be Mexican-American.

3^rd.- You should be pleased that not only hardworking Mexicans have arrived to the US but also, great Mexicans have migrated there, you have Doctors, Lawyers, Engineers, Scientists, Architects, Musicians, Historians, Mathematicians, Chemist, Physicists and many other professionals in the different productive areas.

4^th.- There have been Mexican immigrants that have settled in the US and that have had children, for at least 2 generations of Mexican-Americans, which have contributed to the development of your country and these Mexican-Americans have even moved into Congress (local and Federal).

5^th.- You should be ashamed of your discriminatory statements, because the great majority of the immigrants that have moved there, believe in the American Dream and they want the best for their families, so they work like donkeys so they can provide their families with the best.

6^th.- You should use the little brain which is hidden under that bolded head of yours to think that the contribution of my country-men, even though they are illegal migrants, is bigger than the “benefits” they get; they are under paid and still they work harder than anyone.

7^th.- I know there are bad seeds among the good ones, and in the immigrant wise, we cannot avoid having a lot of bad seeds, but in the long run, there are more great, not only good seeds in the people that enter the US, hardworking individuals; your country is not free of bad seeds, you are the best example and you send us scum bags too, pedophiles, drug dealers, drug addicts, alcoholics, serial killers, gang members, murderers, thieves, kidnapers, bank robbers, politicians and many other bad seeds that come to my country to continue doing bad things, but DO NOT judge all US citizens that come to our country as scum bags!!!

8^th.- Your stupid comments are a proof that you are a little man with a lot of money, but without money you are a simply an scum bag.

9^th.- Your statements show that you are full of bull shit and you do not deserve to be considered as a serious candidate even though you feel you can make it to the Presidency of the US; I always thought there could not be someone worse than Obama, but with your statements you showed me wrong, your stupidity showed me that Donald Trump is bag full of crap.

10^th.- I hope that in the internal elections of the Republican Party you get your ass kicked as you deserve so you won’t be a threat to immigrants, not only Mexican but all.

The 4 phases of the Moon in May

An event that happens two or three times per Century and which will occur in May: “Moon Mondays”

It is an exceptional phenomena, so exceptional, that it can only occur, two or three times every hundred years.

Not many people know the relationship between the name of the days of the week and the stars that generated them, distinguished them as the most important ones for the ancient man. So, Monday was named after the natural satellite of the earth, that is to say, in English we say “Monday” and the satellite is “Moon”; in Quechua, Monday is “Killachaw” and moon is “Killa”; in Latin is “dies lunae” which literally means “day of the moon”.

Note: Old Irish adopted the names from Latin, but introduced separate terms of uncertain origin for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

While Tuesday receives its name from the planet Mars (Martis), Wednesday from Mercury (Mercurii); Thursday from Jupiter (Lovis); Friday from Venus (Veneris); Saturday from Saturn (Saturni) and Sunday from the sun (Solis).

Following this etymology, every time that Mondays happen coincidentally in a month with the four lunar phases (first quarter, full moon, last quarter, also known as third quarter and new moon), Astronomers call this event as Moon Mondays. It is precisely what will happen during this month of May (2015), an event so rare, that may occur two or three times in a Century!

Green Beret Sniper Pens AWESOME Letter to ‘Crisco Sweating’ Michael Moore

On Monday, Americans learned that the box office premiere of American Sniper, a movie about the life of Navy SEAL Chris Kyle, shattered all box office records bringing in $90.2 million. By the end of the holiday weekend, the movie was expected to have a grand total of $105 million. Progressive filmmaker Michael Moore used this moment as a time to go on the attack against snipers with his tweet calling them cowards. This was seen as not only an insult to the legacy of Navy SEAL Chris Kyle, credited with being the deadliest sniper in U.S. military history, but also an insult to all American military snipers and all who put on the uniform in service to our country.

Green Beret sniper Bryan Sikes took some time to pen a letter to Moore that absolutely destroyed him in an incredibly hilarious and fabulous way.

Mr. Moore-

Good afternoon there sweetheart, I hope this finds you alive and well. You can thank our men and women of the armed forces for that, by the way, and that also includes us cowardly snipers. It seems you’ve found time between licking the jelly off your fingers and releasing your grasp of a bear claw to tweet some junk about snipers being cowards. 

My buddies and I got a good laugh over the tweet, so I thank you. For a guy worth $50 million dollars, you sure have quite a bit to bitch and cry about. I guess like a moth to flame, you too gravitate towards things that are popular and in the moment — in this case it’s snipers. Too bad for you that your attempt at being relevant via your 70+ year old family experience has failed. It has only made you look dumber than a bag of hammers. Next time you should try something more original than going after snipers for one reason or another…that was so last month.

It’s typical of “men” like you to criticize the intestinal fortitude, focus, discipline and patriotism of a sniper. It must stem from an inferiority complex or something. But hey, it’s okay cupcake. We snipers are thick skinned and the efforts of world class turds such as yourself to portray us in a negative light only makes us laugh. If you and I were in the same room, I’d throw you a smile and gently pat you on the head knowing you’re nothing more than a mouth breathing, Crisco sweating waste of space not even worthy of being in the presence of a sniper. It’s almost funny how people like you preach things like ‘acceptance’ and ‘not passing judgement’ or ‘labeling people’, but then are the first to do so when a person is in some way dissimilar from you.

So tenderfoot, I leave you with this final thought: what if you found yourself in some sort of hostage situation where you were held at knife-point by some crazed person and they were dead set on making an example of you by bleeding you out on Hollywood Blvd in front of the world, and the only way out was with the precision aimed fire of a sniper? Would you want that coward to take the shot? Because knowing how you feel about snipers such as myself and your hatred of firearms, I’d probably drop the mag, roll the bolt and go get a Jack & Coke before helping you out.

Hacienda's (Mexican IRS) new way of ripping-off taxpayers!!!

The maximum deductible amount in the annual returns will be set to the equivalent of 4 (four) annualized minimum wage, equivalent to $98, 243.40 pesos or 10 % of the annual income of the taxpayer, whichever is less. This will cause the taxpayer to have a higher tax base from the one it had with the prior rules, David Escalante warned, a tax specialist a consultant at KPMG.

In the information published today by the Reforma newspaper, the specialist explained that based on the above the taxpayer will not be able to deduct on its annual tax expense concepts such as tuition, medical and mortgage for a lower tax payment, as a whole, by having the power of deducting only ten percent of its earnings.    

Condensed History version:

For those who don't know much about history... Here is a condensed version: Humans originally existed as members of small bands of nomadic hunters/gatherers. They lived on deer in the mountains during the summer and would go to the coast and live on fish and lobster in the winter. The two most important events in all of history were the invention of beer and the invention of the wheel. The wheel was invented to get men to the beer. These were the foundation of modern civilization and together were the catalyst for the splitting of humanity into two distinct subgroups: 1. Liberals  2.    Conservatives.  Once beer was discovered, it required grain and that was the beginning of agriculture. Neither the glass bottle nor aluminum can were invented yet, so while our early humans were sitting around waiting for them to be invented, they just stayed close to the brewery. That's how villages were formed.  Some men spent their days tracking and killing animals to BBQ at night while they were drinking beer. This was the beginning of what is known as the Conservative movement...  Other men who were weaker and less skilled at hunting learned to live off the conservatives by showing up for the nightly BBQ's and doing the sewing, fetching, and hairdressing. This was the beginning of the Liberal movement. Some of these liberal men eventually evolved into women. They became known as girlie-men. Some note-worthy liberal achievements include the domestication of cats, the invention of group therapy, group hugs, and the concept of Democratic voting to decide how to divide the meat and beer that conservatives provided  Over the years conservatives came to be symbolized by the largest, most powerful land animal on earth, the elephant. Liberals are symbolized by the jackass for obvious reasons. Modern liberals like imported beer (with lime added), but most prefer white wine or imported bottled water. They eat raw fish but like their beef well done. Sushi, tofu, and French food are standard liberal fare...  Another interesting evolutionary side note: most of their women have higher testosterone levels than their men. Most social workers, personal injury attorneys, journalists, dreamers in Hollywood and group therapists are liberals. Liberals invented the designated hitter rule because it wasn't fair to make the pitcher also bat.  Conservatives drink domestic beer, mostly Bud or Miller. They eat red meat and still provide for their women. Conservatives are big game hunters, rodeo cowboys, lumberjacks, firemen construction workers, medical doctors, police officers,  engineers, corporate executives, athletes, members of the military, airline pilots and generally anyone who works productively. Conservatives who own companies hire other conservatives who want to work for a living. Liberals produce little or nothing. They like to govern the producers and decide what to do with the production. Liberals believe Europeans are more enlightened than Americans. That is why most of the liberals remained in Europe when conservatives were coming to America ... They crept in after the Wild West was tamed and created a business of trying to get more for nothing. Here ends today's lesson in world history:  It should be noted that a Liberal may have a momentary urge to angrily respond to the above before forwarding it. A Conservative will simply laugh and be so convinced of the absolute truth of this history that it will be forwarded immediately to other true believers and to more liberals just to piss them off.
